Which apartments does Les Terrasses 17 offer?
Les Terrasses 17 offers two apartments in La Cotinière, on the island of Oléron: Les Cairns and Les Salines. Both offer ocean views, a balcony and a dedicated workspace for remote working.
Are the two apartments similar?
Yes. Les Cairns and Les Salines offer a very similar layout, level of comfort and equipment. They are located in the same residence and both enjoy views over the ocean.
Can both apartments be rented at the same time?
Yes, subject to availability, Les Cairns and Les Salines can be rented together. This option is ideal for large families, groups of friends or several couples wishing to stay close to each other while keeping their own private space.
How many people can stay in an apartment?
Each apartment can accommodate up to 5 guests, with two sleeping areas and a sofa bed.
Are the apartments suitable for families?
Yes. Their layout allows families to stay comfortably, with a bedroom on the main level, a mezzanine bedroom and a sofa bed accommodating up to 5 guests.

How far is the nearest beach?
Matha Beach is located approximately 3 minutes’ walk from Les Terrasses 17. This family-friendly beach is ideal for enjoying the ocean easily, especially with children.
Can La Cotinière be reached on foot from the apartment?
Yes. The fishing port of La Cotinière is located approximately 750 metres from the residence. You can also easily walk to the local shops, restaurants, ice cream shops and the fish market.
Can you enjoy ocean views from the apartment?
Yes. Both apartments have a balcony overlooking the ocean, perfect for enjoying the light, the sea air and Atlantic sunsets.
Can you explore Oléron Island by bike from Les Terrasses 17?
Yes. Cycle paths are located close to the residence, allowing you to easily explore La Cotinière and the different landscapes of Oléron Island.
💻 Remote working
Can I work remotely from Les Terrasses 17?
Yes. Each apartment has a dedicated workspace, allowing you to work comfortably during your stay while enjoying the exceptional surroundings of Oléron Island.
What equipment is available for remote working?
The workspace includes a screen, keyboard, mouse, mouse pad and HDMI cable. Free Wi-Fi is also available in each apartment.
Does the workspace have an ocean view?
No. The desk is located in the bedroom at the rear of the apartment, providing a quiet and independent working environment. However, you can enjoy the ocean views and the atmosphere of La Cotinière during your breaks.
🛏️ Comfort & equipment
Can the beds in the main bedroom be pushed together?
Yes, free of charge upon request. The two 90 × 200 cm single beds can be pushed together to create a comfortable 160 × 200 cm double bed.
Is bed linen and bathroom linen provided?
Yes. Bed linen and bathroom linen are provided. The beds are made before your arrival so you can fully enjoy your stay from the moment you settle in.
Do the apartments have a washing machine?
Yes. Each apartment has a compact 3 kg washing machine, ideal for small laundry loads, especially during longer stays.
Is Wi-Fi available in the apartments?
Yes. Free Wi-Fi is available in each apartment.
🚗 Parking & services
Is parking included?
Yes. Each apartment has a private, free and numbered parking space. The parking space number corresponds to your apartment number.
Do the apartments have air conditioning?
No. The apartments do not have air conditioning. To provide extra comfort during warmer days, two portable fans are available in each apartment.
Can guests use the residence bicycle storage room?
The bicycle storage room is reserved for owners and cannot be used by guests. We recommend planning a suitable solution for storing your bicycles.

Are pets allowed?
No. To preserve the comfort of all guests and maintain the quality of the apartments, pets are not allowed.
Can guests smoke in the apartment?
No. The apartments are non-smoking. Smoking is permitted on the balcony, provided it does not disturb other residents and cigarette butts are not discarded.
Can minors stay alone in an apartment?
No. For safety and responsibility reasons, the apartments must be occupied by at least one adult throughout the stay.
Can guests organise a party or event in the apartment?
No. To preserve the peace and quiet of the residence and the comfort of all occupants, parties and gatherings are not permitted.
